Verse to DATE the Word on October 23 (10/23) is Proverbs 10:23

“A fool finds pleasure in evil conduct, but a man of understanding
delights in wisdom.” – Proverbs 10:23
Finding Pleasure in Wickedness or Finding Pleasure in Wisdom

Proverbs 10:23 presents a contrast of viewpoints and responses toward two very different actions.  On one hand, we have a FOOL that looks at evil conduct or wickedness as something to be ENJOYED.  It is for the fool, as the NKJV says, a SPORT to do evil.

fool finds great PLEASURE in PARTICIPATING in WICKEDNESS

On the other hand, we have a man of UNDERSTANDING (completely opposite of the fool) who looks at acquiring and applying WISDOM as the most enjoyable thing one could do.

A man of understanding finds great PLEASURE in PURSUING/PRACTICING WISDOM.

BTW – Wisdom is seeing life from God’s perspective.  When one is seeking wisdom, one is seeking to learn how God wants one to live. The man of understanding finds great pleasure in learning how God wants them to live.

So let us ask some introspective questions.
What are you finding most pleasurable?  Wickedness  or Wisdom
What are your pursuits?  Wickedness or Wisdom
What excites you?  Wickedness or Wisdom
What do you find the most enjoyable?   Wickedness or Wisdom

Remember you make your choices and then your choices make you!
