The Best Time To Do Something For Another Is Now

Proverbs 3:27 “Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in the power of your hand to do so.”

If we are paying attention and being alert to the needs of others, we are going to see opportunities to be a blessing to others because there are always people in need. All around us are people who are struggling, and many are suffering.  Proverbs 3:27 challenges us to be the “good Samaritan” who sees a need and gives, instead of being “keepers” like the priest and the Levite.

As believers, we should share our blessings with others.  We have been blessed to bless!

Yet, while we know we should give and share, we are prone to procrastinate.  Our verse calls on us to do good and do it now.  When you have it in your power to do something for someone do it!  Don’t put it off.  Move your good intentions to actions!

What might you do today to be a blessing to someone?

A March to Remember

For March 27, let us remember Luke 22:27. Luke 22:27 says, “For who is greater, he who sits at the table, or he who serves? Is it not he who sits at the table? Yet I am among you as the One who serves.

Jesus, the Son of God, is a servant – He came to serve – He serves His Father by dying for us.  Picture Him instructing His disciples about serving during the Passover meal and then illustrating it by washing their feet.  It is not about titles it is about towels.

On March 27 we encourage you to read Matthew 27 to read the story of the crucifixion of Christ.
