Leviticus 8:30 “Then Moses took some of the anointing oil and some of the blood from the altar and sprinkled them on Aaron and his garments and on his sons and their garments. So he consecrated Aaron and his garments and his sons and their garments.”
Leviticus 8 is the consecration ceremony of Aaron and his sons. Some of the highlights have been the blood placed on the right ear lobe and the right thumb and the right big toe. From head to toe, the priest is dedicated and sanctified to serving the Lord. Now in the conclusion of the consecration ceremony, we see Aaron and his sons and their garments anointed with anointing oil and with blood sprinkled on them.
As you picture this the oil speaks of the Holy Spirit empowering them to do the work of God and the blood sprinkled on the garments gives the reminder that sin is only atoned by the blood. When you go to the cross and see Jesus you will see Him covered with blood. See from His head, His hands, His feet, and His side that He is covered in His blood.
What can make you white as snow? Nothing but the blood of Jesus! What can give you the power to do God’s work, nothing but the power of the Holy Spirit.
Remember that you are to be a consecrated vessel for the Lord’s use. Romans 12:1 “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.”
Continue strong by His anointing!
And remember to DATE the Word!
