2 Corinthians 5:9 “Therefore we make it our aim, whether present or absent, to be well pleasing to Him.”
What is your AMBITION? The word ambition means a strong desire to do or to achieve something. It typically requires one to be very demanding of oneself. Even though there may be a lot of hard work to achieve success, the ambitious person is relentless in their pursuit.
We might look at ambition as a negative, for it can be used to describe a person who will do anything and everything to get ahead. However, here in 2 Corinthians 5:9, we have a positive ambition in which one filters every decision through the question of “is it pleasing to the Lord?”
This ambition of the believer has them desiring to want all attitudes and actions to be WELL PLEASING to the Lord. What a filter for living life!!!
Are you ambitious to be WELL PLEASING to the Lord?
Are you DRIVEN – PASSIONATE about pleasing Him?
Are you AIMING to PLEASE JESUS?
