Matthew 7:7 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.”
As believers, we have an INVITATION to pray to our Heavenly Father. What a privilege. Ponder that. What a privilege. Rather than being bothered by His children as some fathers are, our Heavenly Father invites us to ask of Him that He might give us our daily bread and to seek Him that we might know His will and to knock that doors to be open. We are to make petitions for ourselves and intercession for others. The Apostle Paul said that we should not be anxious about anything, as God has extended the invitation to make requests of Him.
Oh friend, God is not to be thought of as a stranger. Nor is He to be thought of as a distant and unapproachable king. He is our Father who wants us to COME TO HIM with burdens and cares and dreams.
On this new day of life, humbly bow before your Father and ASK. Ask for what is needed to do your task. Ask for your daily bread. Ask for wisdom. Seek His face that you might know His will and knock on doors that are set before you!! Allow Him to EMPOWER YOU and to SUSTAIN YOU!! Know that all that is needed for accomplishing what He has for you is at your disposal!! ASK!
“All that God is and all that God has in his storehouse is at the disposal of prayer, but we must use the key.” R. A. Torrey The key is to ASK!
