Ecclesiastes 9:10 “Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might; for there is no work or device or knowledge or wisdom in the grave where you are going.”
The call to give 100% is Biblical!! WHATEVER YOUR HANDS FIND TO DO, DO IT and DO IT WITH ALL YOUR MIGHT!!! We are to be passionate about our work!! The Apostle Paul conveyed it this way in Colossians 3:17, writing, “And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus,” and then in Colossians 3:23 he writes, “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.”
The appeal of Ecclesiastes 9:10 is followed by a very sobering message, for life comes with a deadline, an unknown for almost all, and for many, an unexpected deadline. A major lesson about life is that it does not last forever. There is coming a day in the not-so-far future when you will not have the opportunity to make a difference, to do the things you wanted to do. Sobering for sure, is it not! Thus, the appeal/admonishment to GIVE LIFE YOUR VERY BEST right now at what you find to do!!
So today ENGAGE YOUR DAY and EMBRACE the opportunities!! Give it all you have and MAKE A MARK for the Lord Jesus Christ!
