Proverbs 3:25 “Do not be afraid of sudden terror, nor of trouble from the wicked when it comes;”
Fear paralyzes a person and can even paralyze a believer. This Proverb admonishes us to NOT BE AFRAID. Rather than freezing up with fear as something terrible happens, we activate faith. Faith drowns fears. As sudden terror – unexpected trials – as well as trouble from the wicked come at us we activate DEPENDENCE on the Lord. For example, Psalms 56:3 says, “Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You.” Even if the thing you greatly feared has come upon you, and what you dreaded has happened to you (Job 3:25) we must know that “The LORD is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him. (Lamentations 3:25). No matter how bad it, is our God is greater. The proof of that is how He was with the three Hebrew children in the fire for their enemies cried out “Look! I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire; and they are not hurt, and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.” (Daniel 3:25)
May you be encouraged today that there is nothing to fear or be afraid of as you walk with God. Recall Psalm 23. In Psalm 23 verse 4 we read that “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. (God is so confident in taking care of you that) v.5 He prepares a table before me in the presence of my enemies;” Isn’t that great? God is so confident in protecting you that He even prepares a table for you in the presence of your enemies. So have no fear, God is with you!
By faith face the trials – even the sudden terrors – even the persecution of the wicked!! DO NOT BE AFRAID!!
Continue Strong handling life by faith, not fear,
And remember to DATE the Word
