Oh Be Careful Little Feet Where You Go

Proverbs 4:26 “Ponder the path of your feet, and let all your ways be established.”

From the start of Proverbs 4 to the end of the chapter, we have teaching that begs the reader to BE CAREFUL WHERE YOU GO.  Verses 14 and 15 are like warning signs on a highway telling you to avoid the path of the wicked. (14 Do not enter the path of the wicked, and do not walk in the way of the evil. 15  Avoid it; do not go on it; turn away from it and pass on.)

Do you AVOID messages (road signs) to AVOID a certain road?

One of the greatest lessons from Proverbs is that wrong people + wrong places = wrong practices. On the other hand, the right people + the right places = the right practices.

I bet you have a story or two of being in the wrong place with the wrong people that ended up with you doing the wrong thing.

For one to have the right practices, it is crucial to carefully consider where one goes. As the song says, “Oh, be careful little feet where you go!” A wise person is going to AVOID PLACES WHERE THEY ARE PRONE TO FALL TO TEMPTATION.

Are you listening to the appeal of wisdom to ponder the path you take and the places you go? Are you thinking very carefully about where you are going so you don’t slip and fall spiritually?

Wisdom says CAREFULLY CONSIDER THE PATH OF YOUR STEPS!
