1 Peter 5:7 “Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.”
One of the things that makes Christianity so AMAZING is that the relationship between God and man is a two-way street. Without question, we as humans find in Scripture how we are to respond to God. We are to love the Lord, and we are to live for Him as well as be like the Lord. Yet sprinkled heavily through the Scriptures are things that God says He will do for us. Our verse to consider tells us HE CARES FOR US. He cares so much for us that He invites us to CAST ALL of our CARES UPON HIM!
Is this not amazing? The God of the universe, who created all things, invites us to take the burdens of our life and cast – not just lay – CAST them – cast them like one casts a fishing net – cast them like one tossing dirty clothes in the laundry! To cast is to free the thing from your hand. He invites us to cast our cares out of our hands into His hands.
Again, we may ask WHY? Why? Because He CARES for you. He wants to help you. We tie in Psalm 55:22 that says, “Cast your burden upon the LORD and He will sustain you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken.”
Life is difficult. It is filled with pain and problems. Yet our Heavenly Father says, “Let me help you!!” From Him will come sustaining grace that includes wisdom and strength and comfort and love. Today and every day, take your burdens to Christ, who cares deeply about you. And if the devil pitches the question, DO YOU REALLY THINK JESUS CARES FOR YOU, you reply, Oh Yes, I know MY SAVIOR CARES FOR ME!!!!
Continue Strong casting your cares out of your hands into His hands,
