“For the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.” – Revelation 7:17 |

As I read this precious verse, I can’t help but think of the song “THERE IS COMING A DAY…No more tears to dim the eyes….. What a day, glorious day that will be!” Can you imagine NO MORE TEARS! Our verse tells us of a glorious future. For the believer, the BEST is yet to come! Revelation 7:17 tells us that our Savior, the Lamb of God will SHEPHERD us. To read that word surely takes you to Psalm 23 and verse 1 where David wrote, “The Lord is my SHEPHERD, I shall not want.” In heaven, the Lamb of God shepherds us by leading us to LIVING FOUNTAINS OF WATER. As David’s Shepherd led one to the still waters, so we will be brought to the LIVING FOUNTAINS of WATER. There will be no more thirst!! “And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.” This phrase has been a longing in the heart of God’s people since Isaiah wrote in Isaiah 25:8 “He will swallow up death forever, And the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from all faces.” Not that we needed it but this precious future act of God is repeated in Revelation 21:4. It says, “And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” Friends, there is COMING A DAY where there will be NO MORE TEARS. No more tears of heartache. No more tears of pain. No more tears from hearing awful news. No more tears from suffering, especially watching those we love suffering. (Can you imagine how a persecuted believer felt as they read this?) No more tears of sorrow. No more tears holding a loved one’s hand as they die. No more tears standing at a grave. There is COMING A DAY of NO MORE TEARS! Verse to DATE the Word on this July 17 (7/17) is Revelation 7:17 “For the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.” Always remember that for the BELIEVER THE BEST IS YET TO COME. Continue Strong with the blessed hope in your heart, And remember to DATE the Word |
