Proverbs 3:29 “Do not devise evil against your neighbor, for he dwells by you for safety’s sake.”
Worldly wisdom says what goes around comes around. Hmmm. Our proverb here instructs us to seriously think about taking evil actions toward someone like a neighbor as those actions just might come back to harm you, especially at the moment you need help. (What goes around comes around?)
Here you have a neighbor – a neighbor is one close by – who can come to your aid quickly. Yet instead of building a closer relationship with the one close to you, you look for ways to harm them. Instead of being a good neighbor to them, you are a bad neighbor. To the very one that you may need help from you decide to do things that irritate and aggravate. This is not wise.
Don’t look for ways to stab a neighbor in the back as you just may need your neighbor to have your back!
Be a good neighbor! Be kind to your neighbor.
Good neighbors are watching each other’s backs so they don’t have to watch their own backs!
Continue Strong having your neighbor’s back,
And remember to DATE the Word
